Over the last ten years, Anavar dosages have changed dramatically.  In the early 90s, a common dosage of Anavar in a cycle was .125mgs per lean body mass. In other words, if the user was 250lbs with 10% bodyfat, it would equate to 200lbs * .125mgs equaling 25mgs per day. The bodybuilder would see very good results from this dosage.  However, people starting thinking, since Anavar is such a safe steroid, why not up the dosage.  Dosages went up, to a common dosage of 40mgs a day.  In the early to mid 2000s, steroid communities started to take it even further, and went as high as 80mgs, and even 100mgs per day.  Those that have used 80mgs+, have said the results are amazing compared to 40mgs, and even at a dosage of 80mgs per day, it is rare to see anyone report any side effects with Anavar.

When using Anavar in a cycle, the end user will have to decide if they want to do a ‘regular’ Anavar dosage, or an ‘extreme’ dosage.  Although Anavar is known to be one of the safest steroids, there are some theories out there that this it not true, and mg per mg, some believe Anavar is one of the more toxic oral steroids on the market.  Anavar dosages slowly crept up because people always want the best, and when taking an anabolic steroid cycle, they want to get the most out of it.  A common dosage of 35-45mgs per day will still yield fine results, and best of all, it is half the price of the extreme dosage.  The most important aspect for the user to consider is how much money they can spend on their cycle.  They must remember they aren’t just spending money on Anavar, but more than likely, they are including other steroids as well.  And once the cycle is complete, proper post cycle therapy should also be in effect.

Anavar was first introduced in the US by Searle Laboratories, which is now Pfizer.  When Anavar was first introduced it came in a dosage of 2.5mgs tablets. When a user was taking over 25mgs per day, they had to consume a large number of pills! Today, the majority of Anavar on the market is from underground steroid labs.  They make more convenient Anavar dosages, usually 10mgs.  This makes using the steroid easier, and the dosage can be split into three separate dosages through out the day.
